Located in Telford in the heart of Shropshire, we are centrally located for excellent links all around the UK and tenants can benefit from business assistance and services from a regional University that encourages innovation.

A little bit of history…

Opened in 2013, the Business and Technology Centre (BTC) was a project funded by the University of Wolverhampton to support the creation and development of technology and innovative businesses. Its aim is also to compliment and extend the University’s current offerings of business accommodation at the Telford Campus by providing high quality offices for small to medium sized businesses, in the form of grow on space.

BTC has since established itself as one of the leading business accommodation facilities in the region, with the broad range of office spaces, coupled with a unique advantage of business support services available on the university campus, proving highly prized by prospective tenants.

These factors have led to consistently high occupancy rates and the building is now home to some of the most innovative companies around, many of whom have grown substantially, thriving in the business environment that BTC provides.

The Innovation Campus

The Business and Technology Centre (BTC) is part of the University of Wolverhampton’s Telford Innovation Campus. Along with the e-Innovation Centre (EIC) and Telford Conference Centre, it shares onsite facilities including;

Greenshoots Deli

An informal meeting place where you will be met with the aroma of freshly ground coffee. Proudly serving Starbucks and Fairtrade products, high-quality baguettes & sandwiches, hot food, pastries, confectionery and a range of soft drinks.

Common Room Restaurant

Our primary eating area, providing a diverse choice for breakfast and lunch. Passionate and highly qualified chefs using the finest ingredients can cater for many dietary requirements; dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options upon request.

Priorslee Lounge & Bar

Our onsite, fully licensed bar serving wines, spirits, locally brewed beers and ales including soft drinks, light refreshments and snacks. The lounge bar can be booked for a private function and we have bookable rooms for overnight accommodation too.

Printing and Copying

A large format plotter/scanner is available for tenant use. Additional printing facilities are available in the e-Innovation Centre building. These include a photocopier, second large format plotter and an A4/A3 laser printer.

The Meeting Room

Our meeting room is bookable for a time that suits you. The room is equipped with an LCD screen, wireless Internet, and seating for up to 8 participants. Additional meeting facilities are available for booking from our conferencing department and in the e-Innovation Centre.

IT Services and Network

Each office is supplied with a telephone handset along with a number of network ports connected to an isolated office LAN and broadband Internet connection. Please let us know if you have any special IT requirements and we will endeavor to accommodate them.

Parking

Onsite parking is free. Limited charging facilities for electric cars are also available on campus, a short distance from the building.

Communal Areas

There is a breakout area on each floor of BTC equipped with modern, comfortable seating and a television - perfect spaces for a relaxing lunch or informal meeting.

Kitchens and Toilets

Each floor is equipped with a spacious shared kitchen, equipped with a large fridge, microwave and a hot water boiler.

Local points of Interest

Within walking distance of the Innovation Campus, there is a supermarket, pharmacy, day nursery and 'The Lion' public house. Further-a-field there is Telford Town Centre, surrounded by views of scenic rural Shropshire.
